He is risen! This Easter Sunday message looks at the resurrection account found in Mark and reflects on the reason the angel in the empty tomb specifically mentions Peter. We can come to God in our brokenness and find the forgiveness He offers that will make us whole.

The Life of Jesus – Part 10 (Mark 15)
    Matthew 15, Psalm 22, Hebrews 10, Galatians 5:24
In this message we recall what took place on the cross for our forgiveness.  Jesus Christ gave His life to pay for the penalty of our wrong doings, our sin. Through His perfect sacrifice we now have the ability to stand forgiven in the presence of our Holy God and have direct access to His throne.

The Life of Jesus – Part 9 (Mark 11-14)
In this message we explore what it means to seek the Lord's will in prayer. Jesus prays in the way in the garden the night he was betrayed. If we hope to lay aside our selfish ways and put others before ourselves we must be people of prayer as well.

The Life of Jesus – Part 8 (Mark 9 and 10)
    Mark 10:32-34 and 42-45, Mark 11:1-11, Zechariah 9:9, and Isaiah 9:6-7

Jesus willingly led his followers to Jerusalem, where He knew he would suffer, die and rise again. His passionate commitment to fulfill the Father's will, by giving His life as a ransom for you and me, has made a way for all to have a relationship with God. In the triumphant entry Jesus once again affirms his Kingship as the one who can save. He demonstrates His control and authority over all creation and reminds us that His rule is different than all others. It is not a military or governmental rule, but is  a spiritual rule that is eternal.  Will we share the true hope that the world is looking for with those God has placed in our lives?

The Life of Jesus – Part 7 (Mark 8)
    Mark 8:27-38 and Luke 9:23
This message is a turning point in Mark's gospel. We turn our attention from Mark authenticating Jesus' authority on earth to highlighting Jesus' journey to Jerusalem, the cross and the resurrection. The true reason the Father sent him to earth in the first place. To provide redemption for all who would place their faith on Him.  Who do we say Jesus is and does our life reflect that reality? To follow Jesus we must say no to our selfish ways, take up our cross daily, and follow him.

The Life of Jesus – Part 6 (Mark 7:1-23)
    Mark 7:1-23, Romans 12:1-2, Mark 12: 41-44
The religious leaders of Jesus' day honored the Lord with their words, but their hearts were far from him. He calls them hypocrites whose worship was not genuine.  In this message we explore the truth that worship is a lifestyle we live, not simply a service we attend. We look specifically at Jesus' challenge when it comes to worshiping God by giving sacrificially. It is not the size of the gift, but the size of the sacrifice that pleases the Lord.

The Life of Jesus – Part 5 (Mark 5 and 6)
    Mark 5 and 6, John 6, Matthew 4:4 and 9:35, and II Timothy 3:15-16

With each of Jesus' miracles on earth, He teaches a lesson of faith. He can be trusted to provide both provision and protection, but more than that, He can provide eternal life to those who place their faith in Him. His life also provides a pattern worth following.

Are we willing to find a quite place where we can hear from God in the busyness of our lives?
