Community Part 3 – Worship – The church serving together
Series: Community
In view of God's mercy we are called to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice. Romans 12 makes this charge as part of a challenge to a church body using their gifts together in order to love others. Could using our gifts be part of the sacrifice the Lord desires as worship?

Community Part 2 – Saved for Worship
    Series: Community
    Exodus

In this message we explore how the people of Israel were set free so they could worship God. We then look at each of the plagues through that lens. We too have been set free from slavery. The slavery of sin. We too have been set free to worship God. What are we allowing to become idols in our lives?

Building Believers Part 5 – Time with Jesus
    Luke 10:38-42, Romans 3:23 and 5:8-11, John 15, Psalm 46:10

Will we choose to make time for Jesus in the busyness of this life? In this message Jesus reminds us of the one thing worth being concerned about in this life. A thing that will not be taken away from us. Are you serving from an empty reservoir? Consider making it a habit to create space for being still in God's presence so He can fill you up on a regular basis.

Prayer is one of the foundational ways in which we can grow in our faith. In this message we explore a dangerous prayer that requests God to work in us. Will we take the bold step and ask the Lord to search us, test us, show us and lead us as we strive to live life for Him?

    Building Believers Part 1 – God’s Word
    II Timothy 3:10-17, Psalm 119:97-105, John 8:31, James 1:21-25, and Matthew 7:24-29

The third part of our mission statement as a church is to build believers. In this message series we will look at specific spiritual disciplines Christ followers can participate in for healthy spiritual growth. We begin with the importance of Scripture intake. Our challenge in this message is to read, reflect and respond to God's Word on a regular basis.

We also provided a take home 21 day Bible reading challenge. You can find it on our church facebook page!

    Sharing Christ – Part 4
    Jonah 1:1 - 4:11, II Kings 14:25, and Matthew 12:38-45

Sharing Christ with our friends and loved ones can often seem like an overwhelming task all in itself. With this message we explore the book of Jonah and wrestle with the challenge to share with people we don't like, even our enemies. "The Lord is a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love" (Jonah 4:2).

    Sharing Christ – Part 3
    Luke 15:3-7, Luke 18:24-25, Luke 19:1-10

Salvation does not come from what we are able to do or how much we have, it is by faith in Christ alone. Jesus came to seek and save the Lost and he wants to use His church to represent Him in the same way.

Better Together – Part 4 “Impacting The World”
    Matthew 28:16-20, Acts 1:5-8, and Philippians 4:10-20
On this 1st day of May we celebrated the ordinances of The Lord's Supper and Baptism together as a church family. The introduction for our  message was the baptisms of Teagan Bird, Macy Nolan and Shelly Bloomer. Unfortunately that portion of our service was not recorded. However, we have included the video testimonies of those who were baptized. The message that followed was a brief reminder that we are called to be a church that both sends, partners with and supports God's mission for us to reach the world with His love.  Ten and a half percent of all offerings received at Community Bible Church are used outside our church walls to support this effort. We are Better Together, and that includes those who the Lord has called to serve him in hard to reach places.

Better Together – Part 3 – Serving in Our Community
    Galatians 5:13-14 and Matthew 5:14-16
Christ followers are called to be a light in the world. At Community we believe everyone should use their gifts within the church, but not so much so that they are not also actively bringing God's light to a world in need. Where might God want you to volunteer and show His love in your community?

In this message we see that Scripture reveals that every Christ follower has been given a gift to be used to serve others, so we can be the church. We are better together and God can use us for His glory!
"A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other." - I Corinthians 12:7
"God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another." I Peter 4:10

In this message we recall what took place on the cross for our forgiveness.  Jesus Christ gave His life to pay for the penalty of our wrong doings, our sin. In this message we explore what it means to seek the Lord's will in prayer. Jesus prays in the way in the garden the night he was betrayed. If we hope to lay aside our selfish ways and put others before ourselves we must be people of prayer as well.

    Mark 10:32-34 and 42-45, Mark 11:1-11, Zechariah 9:9, and Isaiah 9:6-7

Jesus willingly led his followers to Jerusalem, where He knew he would suffer, die and rise again. His passionate commitment to fulfill the Father's will, by giving His life as a ransom for you and me, has made a way for all to have a relationship with God. In the triumphant entry Jesus once again affirms his Kingship as the one who can save. He demonstrates His control and authority over all creation and reminds us that His rule is different than all others. It is not a military or governmental rule, but is  a spiritual rule that is eternal.  Will we share the true hope that the world is looking for with those God has placed in our lives?
