In this message we explore how the people of Israel were set free so they could worship God. We then look at each of the plagues through that lens. We too have been set free from slavery. The slavery of sin. We too have been set free to worship God. What are we allowing to become idols in our lives? 

 

 

Will we choose to make time for Jesus in the busyness of this life? In this message Jesus reminds us of the one thing worth being concerned about in this life. A thing that will not be taken away from us. Are you serving from an empty reservoir? Consider making it a habit to create space for being still in God's presence so He can fill you up on a regular basis. 

As we continue our summer series on Spiritual Disciplines we take a look at the importance of Biblical Meditation. Why is in important and what are some of the results that follow those who take time to meditate regularly on God's Word. 

 

Sharing Christ with our friends and loved ones can often seem like an overwhelming task all in itself. With this message we explore the book of Jonah and wrestle with the challenge to share with people we don't like, even our enemies. "The Lord is a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love" (Jonah 4:2). 

 

Do you know how to share your faith with a friend? In this message we talk about how you can share both your story, as well as explore three ways to share God's plan of salvation. We walk through the tools of: Do vs. Done, The Romans Road and The Bridge Illustration to help you use God's word to explain His plan to solve man's problem of sin.  The Good News that makes a way for all to have a right relationship with God through Jesus. 

On this 1st day of May we celebrated the ordinances of The Lord's Supper and Baptism together as a church family. The introduction for our  message was the baptisms of Teagan Bird, Macy Nolan and Shelly Bloomer. Unfortunately that portion of our service was not recorded. However, we have included the video testimonies of those who were baptized. The message that followed was a brief reminder that we are called to be a church that both sends, partners with and supports God's mission for us to reach the world with His love.  Ten and a half percent of all offerings received at Community Bible Church are used outside our church walls to support this effort. We are Better Together, and that includes those who the Lord has called to serve him in hard to reach places.

In this message we see that Scripture reveals that every Christ follower has been given a gift to be used to serve others, so we can be the church. We are better together and God can use us for His glory!

"A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other." - I Corinthians 12:7

"God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another." I Peter 4:10

 

In this message we conclude our series on The Life of Jesus and launch into our new series discussing the mission of CBC: to Share Christ, Build Believers, and Serve Others. We take a look at the conclusion of Mark's gospel and then wrestle with the command given in the Great Commission found in Matthew. To make disciples who make disciples.

In this message we recall what took place on the cross for our forgiveness.  Jesus Christ gave His life to pay for the penalty of our wrong doings, our sin. Through His perfect sacrifice we now have the ability to stand forgiven in the presence of our Holy God and have direct access to His throne.

 

Jesus willingly led his followers to Jerusalem, where He knew he would suffer, die and rise again. His passionate commitment to fulfill the Father's will, by giving His life as a ransom for you and me, has made a way for all to have a relationship with God. In the triumphant entry Jesus once again affirms his Kingship as the one who can save. He demonstrates His control and authority over all creation and reminds us that His rule is different than all others. It is not a military or governmental rule, but is  a spiritual rule that is eternal.  Will we share the true hope that the world is looking for with those God has placed in our lives?
